01/ Cleanser

Any skincare routine starts with a good cleanse. And that is to thoroughly remove all the make-up, dirt and pollution that has accumulated on your skin throughout the day. This is why we advise to at least cleanse every night and for this we prefer the double cleanse method. Simply put: in the same routine, you wash your face twice. First with an oil-based cleanser and after that with a water-based cleanser that has a gelly, foamy or milky consistency. Which cleanser matches your skin type?

02/ Moisturizer

All skin types do need to moisturize. Yes, even the oily ones. It is important to keep hydration and water locked in our skin. If we don’t, moisture escapes and our skin may become dry and/or dehydrated. This is where a moisturizer comes into play, by contributing to a well-maintained moisture barrier. Here’s how.

03/ Sunscreen

Sunscreen is the most important step in a skincare routine. We can be real quick on this one: Use it. Every single day. No matter the season. No matter your skin tone. Numerous studies have shown that exposure to the sun increases the risk of skin cancer. Added to that, sun exposure can cause (the appearance of) fine lines and wrinkles, dark spots, break-outs and acne scarring. So if you were to take one advice from us, let it be to wear sunscreen. And this plea comes from two people who loved to tan.
